Shane Gibson Officially Leaving

Lost in all the Clint Lowery comments was Shane Gibson's official statement on parting ways with Korn and his relationship with the band right now. It was nice of him to come on Kornspace and say something to all the Korn fans.

On behalf of Kornspace we would like to wish Shane Gibson the best of luck with all his future projects.

Shane Gibson's Statement:

"Statement time

Their is ABSOLUTELY no drama or bad blood between the band KoRn and myself.
KoRn gave me the opportunity to travel around the world and do what i want for a living.... Play guitar. At the same time, I had time to work on my other projects.
I've played for them as the backing guitarist for almost 3 years, and feel the most logical step is moving on.
Wes is a super nice guy, and i'm sure he is killer.... i wish him the best as well.
The KoRn guys, crew, and camp have been nothing but the best to me. Never been any drama, hateful words, backstabbing, anything. I truly wish them all the best, and we are all on great terms.
I've had the privilege to play with one of the most revolutionary metal bands in the world, and it has been truly my honor.
That being said... time to move on, do my own thing (mainly now being Schwarzenator and stOrk).

As far as Clint's statement, take it however you want. When i met him back in Europe last year, he was one of the sweetest guys i've ever met. I do not think he's trying to start any controversy.

And as for you KoRn fans..... you are why KoRn exists. they would not be here if not for you. I've never experienced such loyal fans in my life. Thank you for everything, those of you who supported me, and those of you who hated me I've met some of the sweetest people while on tour... from America, South America, Asia, South Africa, Europe, Freakin everywhere! Thank you all, and i will never forget it.

I only tried to make KoRn sound like KoRn, and busted my ass at it.
took me a while, but i feel i did pretty ok.

Clint Lowery Calls Out Korn

Korn added a new back up guitarist for their performance on Lopez Tonight. We are still unsure if former Hed PE guitarist Wes Geer will stay on to tour with Korn from now on or if he was just replacing Shane Gibson for one day.

Now Clint Lowery(Sevendust) one of the former touring guitarists speaks out on Korn putting the back up members in the background. A topic that is discussed by Korn fans all the time.

KORN to perform on LOPEZ Tonight

KORN will perform for the first time on Lopez Tonight on August 24. The show, hosted by comedian George Lopez, airs at 11 PM ET on TBS. The band will perform their brand new single, “Let the Guilt Go.” This is the second single off Korn’s latest album, Korn III - Remember Who You Are (read the Kik Axe Music review here), which entered the charts at # 2 on July 20 and is in stores now.

Korn will be joined onstage for the performance by the latest addition to their touring band, guitarist Wes Geer (formerly of the So Cal band Hed Pe).

The band recently wrapped up the summer’s most successful rock tour in the U.S. as the closing headline act for the third annual Rock Star Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. The 30 city tour of major U.S. markets averaged 15,000 attendees per show and was one of the few bright spots in an otherwise tough concert season.
