JD's lyrics have been part of the hatred of Korn since the beginning.

JD has moments of great writing, but it is rare.

I've got no issues with the songwriting on KIII. Yeah, it's nothing profound or life-changing, but I like it. JD's lyrics have always been pretty basic.

I hate KIII's songwriting. This is what Korn needs to get back, IMO. SYOTOS and Untitled they had help from "professional" song writers. KIII they fell back on the copout concept that, hey, maybe the music should just be recorded in one take. Forget polish, forget refinement, forget mastering it. Just put it down. So we got all these shitty lyrics formed based on "feelings, not thoughts" because according to Ross that's the only way to write. My ass. Writing based off a thought is simply more of a risk.

management can only do so much. The band decides ultimately the final say on there image, brand and what not.

bullet LifeJuice on Thursday 02 September 2010 - 13:39:23

bullet LifeJuice on Thursday 02 September 2010 - 13:36:51
An Independent Korn would be a neat thing to see.
bullet LifeJuice on Thursday 02 September 2010 - 13:34:54
Maybe if Korn would go industrial again.
bullet *DeЯeK* on Thursday 02 September 2010 - 13:34:48
k im done venting.

i love you korn, dont abuse yourselves.
bullet Fern on Thursday 02 September 2010 - 13:34:14
I could be wrong but its what i noticed around that time.
bullet Fern on Thursday 02 September 2010 - 13:32:00
They were on a great track with those two albums but shit went down around the era with the peoples music intrests case in point metal core/emo/scream/hardcore so they went with a different approach and havent been able to go back in a sense.
bullet *DeЯeK* on Thursday 02 September 2010 - 13:31:52
i dont think it matters who korns producer is. You know why it didnt matter on the first 5 albums? because korn was a musical force that couldnt be held back, the producer was simply there to capture the sound. Nowadays its like 'damn we need a good producer to save our next record'
bullet LifeJuice on Thursday 02 September 2010 - 13:30:13
I think Issues and Untouchables showcase JD's best lyrics, and you could say his best vocals.
bullet Fern on Thursday 02 September 2010 - 13:29:49
Who they work with on Issues again that shit was serious business.
bullet Daniel the Jew on Thursday 02 September 2010 - 13:29:46
Hopefully something better than the 5 symbols or life or death or whatever the fuck he wanted to do. Something epic. Look what writing a concept album did for Green Day? They went from a small punk band to a Grammy Winning punk band....huh? Not bad.
