I got to venue just before 6 when the Meet and Greet which said be infront of the RoadRunner tent and wait for Seb. While waiting a I felt a disturbance in the force. A monsoon storm was coming and hopefully bringing some rain to cool the temps down from 113.

All the sudden the storm hit and flipped over the RoadRunner tent and the Jagermeister tent and for about 5 minutes all the vendors were holding on to the canopies of the tents or they're going to be wrecked.

Security was trying to rush everyone out of this area despite telling them we are waiting for Seb. Seems like these Meet and Greets usually don't go smoothly and your like a trout swimming up stream the entire process.

Ray and Munky came out for the Meet and Greet, Fieldy and JD were busy with other things I asked for Shane to come out but they keep him locked in his cage and only official members get to attend. There were of course NO PICS but I'm Red UFO so I took a few anyway. Unless you won your Meet and Greet from local radio station 98 KUPD. There was some guy taking pics of the winners. Modlife winners are treated as second class citizens.


I was looking forward to seeing Rob Zombies set as I've heard good things about it and haven't seen him live before. His entire act is one big gimic of cheesy props. He only has one hour on stage and spent several minutes mumbling about wanting to see some tits. Later in the set he mentions he has ran out of time. His voice sucks live, sings half of the lyrics and mumbles incoherently. I noticed he tries to sing his newer songs but butchers all the older material. To make up for his lack of talent he uses a ton of stage props, pyro, skeleton mics and various satanic imagery to mask the fact he sucks. Watch this video, it sums up the Rob Zombie experience. Its fun to watch, his band is great and the visuals are cool, but Zombie is no Jonathan Davis that puts 110% into every lyric that comes out of his mouth.

It was damn near the hottest day of the summer. Allot of people walk around half naked in bikinis as Zombie pointed out earlier. Korns setlist was the same as what was reported previously. Despite the heat JD and everyone gave it everything they had. Jonathan's performance on stage puts Zombies to shame and you see why Korn headlines not Zombie. Jon looks pretty pissed off singing 'Oildale' and it sounds fantastic live. They opened with 'Here To Stay' with a new opening that's a few minutes long. The guitar pitch Shane was playing in that night sounded a little off in 'Clown' and 'Freak on a Leash'. However you can't notice that in the bootlegs because my mic isn't sensitive enough to pick that up.

I didn't plan on bootlegging the show but old habits die hard. All I had is my crappy old digital camera that has a fixed zoom. Check out the sample quality of Somebody Someone near the end and then decide if its worth your time to download it. You can also download the entire show on Mp3. Hopefully fans send in a full show in way better quality that this!

This was my 19th Korn show and my wife's 5th and she commented the band was so good she understand why I often travel to see this show as many times as I can!
